China has strengthened nucleic acid testing following requirement and measures to do so amid a resurgence of Covid-19 in various localities.
According to a circular published by the State Council joint prevention and control mechanism against COVID-19, a two-day limit was set all-inclusive testings on a population of 5 million or less while a three-day limit was set for populations of over 5 million people.
The circular also described nucleic acid testing as a vital way to identify the infected and prevent the epidemic from spreading, demanding that no one should miss out on the testings. There is a serious need for measures to prevent cluster infection.
In order for emergency response could be immediately activated when necessary, drills on the testings were proposed for areas without the epidemic.
