Gideon Moi declares Presidential bid

KANU Party leader and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has declared his presidential bid in the 2022 elections.

During a thanksgiving ceremony at Ruth Kiptui Girls in Baringo North on Friday, Moi vowed to run a strong campaign for the top seat.

Baringo North Member of Parliament William Cheptumo might have played a part in instigating Moi's declaration as he challenged him to stop being lukewarm in his ambitions.

Talai elders coronated the Baringo Senator in January as a Kalenjin kingpin, thereby pitting him against Deputy President William Ruto who has also declared intent to run for presidency.

Moses Wetangula, Musalia Mudavadi, and Kalonzo Musyoka are also eyeing the top position.

ODM’s Raila Odinga is yet to make a declaration regarding his candidature.
