David Njeng'ere has officially taken over as the Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya National Examination Council ( KNEC).
Njeng'ere succeeds outgoing CEO Mercy Karogo who has held the position since 2016 in an acting capacity.
Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha witnessed the handing over ceremony on Wednesday morning.
Dr Njeng'ere was appointed by the Education CS on June 9th and will serve for a five-year term effective July 1st
Prior to his appointment to the examination body, he served as the CS's adviser.
He holds a Doctorate in Education from Moi University.
