Uganda's first son and Commander of Land Forces in the Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces Lt Gen David Kainerugaba Muhoozi has rubbished news declaring him dead.
Over the weekend, social media was awash with rumours that President Yoweri Museveni had fallen Ill and had been airlifted to Germany for further treatment.
However, the news turned out to be fake after President Museveni presided over the launch of the World Health Summit Regional meeting on Sunday
'Reports' then emerged that his first son Gen Muhoozi had contracted COVID-19 and was critically ill while other social media users announced him dead.
Taking to his official Twitter handle Gen Muhoozi debunked the death rumours assuring his follower he was well further attributing the fake news to people he referred to as ' enemies'.
"Some friends of mine like Alan Kasujja told me that some enemies were declaring me dead, or very ill from Covid-19. I’m very well. This is the third time in my military career that enemies are claiming I’m dead. The funny thing is every time they do that Almighty God blesses me more,” he tweeted
Last week, President Museveni moved Gen Muhoozi from the special forces to the land forces .
