Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha on Tuesday officially launched the 2021 Form One selection, announcing that the students who sat for their KCPE will report to their respective High Schools on August 2nd.
Unveiling the results at the Kenya Institue of Curriculum Development, Prof Magoha revealed that this year's Form One selection was fully computerised from the national to the sub-county level.
" As such there will be no selection of Form one candidates at the sub-county level as it was the case in the past, " the CS said.
He stated that all the learners will be admitted to different schools in line with the government 100 per cent transition policy.
According to the CS, a total of 1,179,192 candidates have been placed in various secondary schools excluding inmates, over age candidates and candidates who sat for their exam in refugee camps.
Faith Mumo who emerged top in KCPE after she scored 433 marks has been selected to join Kenya High while Wanyonyi Samuel who came second Is expected to join Mang'u High School.
