Three out of four Kitengela friends, who mysteriously went missing on Monday, April 19, have been found dead.
Jack Ochieng, Benjamin Imbai, Brian Odour and Elijah Obuong, went missing after having lunch at a popular club in Kitengela.
Allegedly, they left in a white Toyota Mark X and a few hours later they were reported to be missing.
Reports show that their car was found in the exact spot that it had been parked.
According to police officers, the body of Benjamin Imbai's was found at General Kago Funeral Home in Thika and it was taken to the morgue on April 20, 2021.
Elijah Obuong's body was the second one to be found on Tuesday, April 20, by sand harvesters near Mukungai River along the Murang'a-Iyego-Kangema road.
It was taken to a morgue in Murang'a and recorded as an unidentified male adult as it had not been not immediately identified at first.
However, his family identified his body on Thursday, April 29, at the morgue in Murang'a.
The third body was found at River Mathioya. It was picked alongside that of Obuong.
However, the body is yet to be identified as police said they were waiting for the family and friends of the other missing victims to arrive and identify it.
It was taken to Murang’a mortuary where it will be identified.
A post urging Kenyans to help authorities and family find the four was shared on The Nairobi Crime-Free Society Facebook page instigated alerted people regarding their disappearance.
According to friends and relatives of the missing men, the mens' phones were switched off at around 3 pm on the material day.
Odour's wife, Catherine Atieno stated, "We spoke at around 1 pm and he promised to be back on time for my hospital appointment. By 3 pm his phone was off. His friends were also out of reach. I knew something was wrong."
Detectives believe that it was a possible abduction.
Allegedly, one of the missing friends was a member of a criminal gang that was involved in various criminal activities.
