Narok County Executive Committee Member of Roads and Public Works John Marindany has succumbed to coronavirus.
Marindany 52, died while receiving treatment at Nairobi Women's Hospital on Wednesday.
Narok Governor Samuel Tunai while confirming the news described the deceased as a hardworking, dedicated and selfless leader.
" I have learned with shock and difficulty of the very untimely death of John Marindany, who until his death, served as a devoted County Executive Committee Member for the Department of Roads and Public Works.
"My administration has suffered a big blow following the death. He was a dedicated member of the County Executive, whose services were a major knob in service delivery,” Governor Tunai said in his condolence message.
Maridany has been serving as a county executive member since 2013
