Kenya Airways has suspended flights from India following government directive banning air travel to and from India for the next 14 days beginning May 1st.
In a statement, the national carrier said the last flight to arrive in the country from the Asian nation will touch down a few minutes to midnight.
Passengers affected by the ban have been advised to change their booking or request for a refund
" Customers affected by the suspension can change their bookings for later travel or exchange their booking for a voucher that can be used for future travels within 12 months. New travel dates can be rebooked and ticketed free of charge within the same cabin and seasonality for any future flight/destination,” said KQ.
On Wednesday, April 28th, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced the government's decision to ban travel between the two nations following a surge in coronavirus cases in India.
Kenya becomes the latest nation to after Canada, Oman, Singapore, France and Hong Kong to impose the travel ban on flights to and from India.
