Former Churchill Show comedian Eddie Butita has criticized Deputy President William Ruto's move to meet with artistes at his Karen residence while sidelining other creatives such as comedians.
He took to Twitter to express his dissatisfaction with the DP's move.
"Leo Creatives walienda kuona Deputy President 99% were musicians Wueeh Good idea, Bad execution,” Butita tweeted.
Ruto met with a group of artistes led by rapper Khaligraph Jones to discuss various issues, including the Covid-19 containment measures that are affecting artistes’ daily income.
Furthermore, the artistes urged the government to share a clear roadmap and timelines for the re-opening of the country so that they can make proper arrangements for their calendar of activities.
The DP's meeting with artistes comes after Khaligraph's direct request to him to help push for the reopening of the country.
Ruto responded asking Khaligraph set a meeting with him and other artistes to discuss how they can distribute food to those in the creative industry who have majorly affected by the curfew.
