190 COVID-19 protocol violators were arrested on Thursday at various places within Nairobi.
According to Nairobi Regional Commissioner James Kianda, those arrested comprised of those who had not worn their masks and those who were in pubs.
However, the protocol violators were released on police bond and they are to be arraigned in court on Tuesday.
Kianda further urged city residents to observe COVID-19 protocols issued by the Ministry of Health as they spend their Easter weeekend at a various parks within the city.
He also affirmed that security officers are on the lookout and there are measures in place to capture COVID-19 protocol violators.
The protocols include washing of hands with soap and water or using alcohol based sanitisers, wearing of face masks and social distancing.
