Syria President Bashar al-Assad and First Lady Asma al-Assad have tested positive for coronavirus, the Presidency announced on Monday.
Further announcing that the two are in good health condition and atable.
" They are in good health and in stable condition, and they will continue their work during their home quarantine period that will last for two or three weeks,” the presidency said.
The two are said to have undergone PCR tests after developing mild symptoms.
President al-Assad called upon Syrians to continue adhering to health guidelines aimed at curbing the spread of the virus.
