Governor Lee Kinyanjui has announced the shutdown of non-essential service offices for 30 days effective Monday, March 29th.
Governor Kinyanjui said that staff members have been directed to work from home.
"We consider these measures as important in curtailing the high COVID-19 infections witnessed in recent days, ”a statement from Governor Kinyanjui read in part.
Essential services such as health care, revenue, disaster response, general cleaning, finance and procurement will however remain operational
Nakuru is among 5 counties that were put under partial lockdown with the dusk to dawn curfew starting from 8 pm to 4 am.
