President Uhuru Kenyatta has made changes to his executive with realignments and new appointment in various ministries.
According to a circular issued on Wednesday by the Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua the changes are meant to foster operational efficiency and expedite reforms that will make ministries and state departments deliver on their mandate efficiently.
Among the changes undertaken include the merging of the State Department of Mining and the State Department of Petroleum into one single department under the Ministry of Petroleum and Mining.
President Kenyatta also appointed various Individuals as the Chief Administrative Secretary of various dockets as follows;
Simiyu Wafukho- National Treasury and Planning
Jackson Musyoka Killa- Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
Lawrence Omuhaka- Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperative
Japeth Ntiba - State Law Office and Department of Justice
David Osiany- Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development
Dr Sara Ruto - Ministry of Education
Alex Mburi Mwiru- Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning
The following CASs were re-assigned to other dockets
Winnie Guchu- Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government
Gideon Mungaro- Ministry of Devolution and The ASALs
Linah Jebii Kilimo- Ministry of Public Service and Gender
Hassan Noor Hassan- Ministry of Education
Zack Kinuthia - Ministry of Sports, Culture and Heritage
Simon Kachapin- Ministry of Sports, Culture and Heritage.
The following Principal Secretaries were also re-assigned duties.
Julius Jwan - State Department of Early Learning and Basic Education
Andrew Kamau - Ministry of Petroleum and Mining
Francis Owino- State Department of Fisheries, Aquaculture and The Blue Economy
Julius Korir- State Department of Devolution
Belio Kipsang - State Department for Regional and Northern Corridor development.
Peter Kaberia - State Department of Industrialization.
Margaret Mwikima- State Department of Vocational and Technical Training
Mr Kinyua indicated the changes take effect immediately.
