In the last 24 hours, Kenya has recorded 280 positive Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 4,919 tested, bringing the country's cumulative confirmed positive cases to 104,780.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe issued a statement on Wednesday, February 24, disclosing that the total tests conducted so far are 1,278,200.
From the new positive cases, 221 are Kenyans while 59 are foreigners. 173 are males while 107 are females.
The youngest victim is a three-year-old child, while the oldest is 89 years.
Total recoveries now stand at 86,378 as 713 patients have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.
Unfortunately, 2 patients succumbed to the disease pushing the country's cumulative fatality to 1,839.
Currently, 344 patients are admitted to various health facilities countrywide, while 1,495 patients are on Home Based Isolation and Care.
From the 55 patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 22 are on ventilator support and 28 are on supplemental oxygen. 5 patients are on observation.
Another 9 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen with all of them in the general wards.
There is no patient in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
