Detectives in Kakamega hunting for man linked to his brother's murder

Detectives in Kakamega are on a manhunt for a suspect linked to the murder of his elder brother.

According to police reports, 32-year-old Robinson Techera Munyenya started to quarrel with his brother at around 6 am on Sunday.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said that Munyenya accused his 41-year-old brother of stealing maize from his house.

The quarrel resulted in a physical confrontation which attracted their father's attention. The father intervened and managed to separate the two.

However, the older brother succumbed to his injuries around 5pm as he had been brutally beaten.

It was reported that the suspect escaped  after his brother's death.

“Anyone with information that may assist in his arrest is requested to call our toll-free number-0800 722 203,” the DCI appealed on Twitter.
