APA boosts its Covid-19 response donation

APA Life, through APA Apollo Foundation, has donated thousands of reusable face masks to some of the most disadvantaged communities in Kenya.

The recent donation was to Cheleta Primary School where 1,000 children’s reusable face masks were received.

According to APA Life Chief Executive Officer, Catherine Karimi, wearing a face mask is one of the best ways to protect others from the coronavirus.

She noted, "Masks work best when everyone is wearing them to protect those around them.  Masks are a key way everyone can help contain the pandemic and we are pleased to donate the masks to the students of Cheleta Primary School.  The Children will benefit and help keep them safe.”

So far, the APA Apollo Foundation has  contributed Sh10 million towards supporting vulnerable people during the Covid -19 pandemic.

The foundation donated more than 1000 children’s face masks and hand sanitizers to Nairobi Children’s Court in July 2020.

The APA staff members have also spared their time to assist in the distribution of the care packages.

Over 600 essential care packages were distributed by APA Insurance the residents of Mukuru Kwa Reuben in Nairobi in April.
