Police, military investigate alleged suicide by senior KDF officer

The police and military have joined forces to investigate the alleged suicide by a senior military  in his house in Lanet, Nakuru County.

The body of the military officer was found in full uniform and in a pool of blood in his toilet after he had allegedly slit his throat and it was reported that he used a kitchen knife to commit the act.

It is believed that incident occurred on Wednesday evening. 

After being notified that the officer was dead, the military police called the local administration regarding the matter. 

The body was taken to a local mortuary awaiting a postmortem. The police and the military are yet to determine the motive behind the incident. 

The deceased was a military officer of the rank of Major attached to 81 Tank Battalion at the Lanet Barracks.
