Chief Magistrate Everlyne Olwande was on Wednesday sworn in as a commissioner of the Judicial Service Commission.
Olwande trounced Stella Atambo, Teresia Nyagera, Florence Macharia and Dolphina Alego to represent the Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association in the commission.
JSC is mandated with the recruitment of all judicial officials including the Chief Justice.
Her swearing-in comes at a time the statutory body is embarking on the recruitment of a CJ following David Maraga's retirement on January 11th, 2021.
