Uganda's Cheptegei breaks another marathon record

Ugandan marathoner Joshua Cheptegei broke  the 16-year-old 5,000m world record in the Diamond League in Monaco by almost 2 seconds.

The 23-year-old finished his incredible run in 12 minutes 35.36 seconds.

The great Kenenisa Bekele from Ethiopian left a record of 12:37.35.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic disrupting the season badly, Cheptegei has shown remarkable performance in his runs as this is his second world record in Monaco.

In February, the young marathoner broke the 5km road world record in the principality.
