Fast-rising gospel singer Justina Syokau has urged Kenyans not to blame her for a bad year.
Syokau famed for the hit' Twendi Twendi' a song that declared a prosperous 2020, a promise that her fans danced to it until COVID-19 pandemic struck and later drew negative criticism with most netizens accusing her of 'provoking the devil' says despite the backlash the year has been great to her, one that has seen her progress career-wise and urged her fans to hold onto faith.
" I hear people saying I should not sing again that if I do another pandemic might strike, " Syokau said.
She maintains that her song has nothing to do with the pandemic as she calls on her fans to accord support to her new song Christmas
Christmas, a song which she has maintained her signature Kamba benga tune video will drop on Saturday.
" For now they can enjoy my brand new festivity hit, Christmas whose video drops this weekend but I must repeat I am not to blame for coronavirus." She added.
