Southampton miss third-place spot after draw with Wolves

Theo Walcott scored his first goal since rejoining Southampton in the summer transfer but his goal wasn't enough for The Saints to ride to third place.

Walcott slammed in Che Adams' cross to give Ralph Hasenbuttl's the lead in the 58th minute at Molineux on Monday night.

Pedro Neto equalised with 15 minutes left after Raul Jimenez's shot came off the post.

Southampton are fifth  with 17 points and Wolves are ninth with 14 points.

Theo Walcott said he feels like a kid again after scoring his first goal . "I will do  a job whatever. I feel like the manager has trust in me," he said.

"I feel like a kid again - I feel very fit. It means a lot to play at the highest level for so long. I love playing football."
