Qatar Airways has announced that part of its Covid-19 recovery plan involves plans towards rebuilding its network to cover 126 destinations across Africa, America, Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East by end of March 2021.
Operating 700 weekly flights to about 100 destinations worldwide, the airline has been consistent with operations despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
Qatar Airways has not gone below 150 flights per week and 30 destinations. It marked 15 years of operation on the Nairobi-Doha route where it is currently operating two daily flights.
Vice President of the Commercial Africa Qatar Airways Hendrik Du Preez said, “We are delighted to be celebrating this milestone. Over the past 15 years, Nairobi has demonstrated its importance as a business and leisure market becoming one of our most popular destinations with global travellers."
According to the VP, the airline looking forward to serving its valued travellers throughout its expanded networks and in many years to come.
Qatar Airways expanded its interline agreement with Kenya Airways in October to cover 43 destinations across the continent.
“We will serve many cities with a strong schedule with daily or more frequencies,” Du Preez added.
The airline will offer passengers free on-board Wi-Fi connectivity as part of the 15 years celebrations. ,
