Matatus from Waiyaki Way, Uhuru Highway, Kipande and Limuru roads will pick and drop passengers at the Fig Tree Terminus at Ngara.

PSVs using Ngong Road and Lang'ata Road (Kawangware, Kikuyu, Kibera, Lang'ata, Rongai, Kiserian) will drop and pick passengers at Green Park, popularly known as Railways Club. The construction of the terminus is incomplete.

PSVs from Mombasa Road (South B, South C, Industrial Area, Imara Daima, Athi River, Kitengela, Machakos) will use a terminus at the junction of Bunyala and Workshop Road which is under construction.

The Muthurwa Terminus will be used by PSVs from Jogoo and Lusaka roads.

The new Desai and Park Road terminals will serve  long-distance PSVs from Mt. Kenya region and those entering from Thika Superhighway.

According to NMS Boss Major General Mohamed Badi, matatus will be banned from Nairobi CBD by the end of the year as decongestion is one of his top priorities.

President Uhuru Kenyatta recently launched the Kenya Railway Corporation's Commuter Rail Service which is expected to enhance efficiency by linking to the Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) .

BRT buses will ferry passengers from railway stations to the city and vice versa and also along the select road corridors.

12 mobility corridors have been gazetted by the Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (NAMATA).

From the 12  transport corridors, 7 are for core mass rapid transportation linking Limuru, Ngong Town, Kenol, Murang’a, Kiambu, Ruai, JKIA and Konza Technocity.

The other 5 include rapid transport corridors along Line 2, which have been contracted and works on them are scheduled to start soon.
