Boda boda riders beat up a motorist outside the GSU headquarters along Thika Superhighway for hitting one of the riders.
Eyewitnesses said the driver lost control of the vehicle à fter a tyre burst and hit the rider outside the GSU headquarters at Allsops.
The boda boda riders immediately ganged up against the driver beating him despite the hooting by other motorists to stop the drama.
The commotion caused heavy traffic on the road until GSU officers arrived at the scene helped clear the jam.
One witness shouted, “The driver did not hit the motorcycle on purpose. Why are they beating him up yet it was a tyre burst that made him lose control.”
The rise in the number of motorcycle and bicycle accidents has pushed the riders community to protest about road safety.
