American R&B Star Jeremy Phillip Felton aka Jeremih is on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit battling coronavirus, confirming reports that surfaced earlier this week that he had been hospitalized.
According to TMZ, the 33-year-old singer's condition has worsened.
"Sources with direct knowledge tell us the R&B singer is being treated at a hospital for Covid-19. "It's unclear how long he's been admitted, or how long he's had the virus ... but he is not doing well," said TMZ.
Rapper 50 Cent was the first to confirm that Jeremih has been hospitalized due to Covid-19. He tweeted,"Pray for my boy Jeremih he's not doing good this Covid s*** is real."
50 Cent gave a clue of where Jeremih might be admitted. He added, "He's in ICU in Chicago."
Other artists have also tweeted about the news, encouraging fans to pray for the singer.
Hitmaka wrote "We need that energy. Pray for my brother. He gone shake back."
Chance The Rapper tweeted, "Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he's ill right now. I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer over him."
Jeremih is known for his songs Birthday Sex, Don't Tell 'Em, Down on Me in which 50 Cent featured, all of which made the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.
