Father John Pesa of Coptic Holy Ghost Church now claims his life is in danger following his recent trip to the home of Deputy President William Ruto in Sugoi, Uasin Gishu County.
While addressing the press on Wednesday Father Pesa said he has been receiving anonymous phone calls asking him to forfeit the money he was given by DP Ruto.
The priest however denied having been given a single coin by the DP saying those spreading such rumors are malicious.
“They told me to produce the money Ruto gave me failure to whoich they would kill me. I wonder why someone would threaten to kill me yet I did not get a cent from the visit. I did not see any money,” he said.
He added that he has since notified the police and recorded a statement over the threats to his life.
Father Pesa added that he was honoured to have been invited to the home of the DP to pray for him saying he could not turn down the offer.
