The Commission of University Education (CUE) has dealt a major blow to Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja after it revoked the recognition of his degree from Team University in Uganda.
In a letter to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, CUE cited it had revoked the credentials of Mr Sakaja who is contesting for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat on a UDA ticket after completing probe into the authenticity of his papers.
The commission in it's lengthy letter confirming it's verdict to the electoral body said the Senator didn't present evidence to back his application for the recognition.
CUE had earlier in the month revoked the recognition pending investigations into the authenticity of his academic papers.
