Safina party nominates Wanjigi as its Presidential candidate

Safina Party National Executive Council has endorsed Jimi Wanjigi as it's presidential candidate in the August polls.

Addressing the press in Nairobi on Sunday, the Party Secretary-General John Wamagata said the party received a written expression of interest from Mr. Wanjigi to contest for president on the Safina ticket.

"The party has not joined any coalition for the 2022 presidential election. However, the party has received expression from Mr Jimi Wanjigi," said Mr. Wamagata

According to the SG, Wanjigi will be unveiled as Safina Presidential candidate on 21 March during a National Delegates Conference at Bomas of Kenya.

Mr. Wanjigi last week joined Paul Muite led party after ditching the Orange Democratic Movement citing lack of democracy in the party.
