Suba South Member of Parliament and ODM national chairman John Mbadi has withdrawn from the Homa Bay governor race.
The lawmaker who was to contest for the seat on an ODM party ticket now says he will channel his efforts to Raila Odinga's Presidential bid.
"I have today withdrawn my bid from the Homabay County gubernatorial race. I will therefore henceforth place more effort in the Azimio presidential bid and the nationwide bid to have ODM secure as many seats as possible," Mbadi said.
The Homa Bay gubernatorial race has attracted a host of popular politicians who include the County's MP Gladys Wanga, former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and former MP Oyugi Magwanga.
