Kenya National Unity Alliance( KANU) party has maintained that it's still a member of the Kalonzo Musyoka led One Kenya Alliance amid reports of fallout.
In a statement on Thursday, KANU Chairman Gideon Moi said that the former ruling party is still in the alliance downplaying the claims that emerged following remarks by the party's Secretary General Nick Salat who accused Kalonzo over allegedly playing hard ball on the impending Azimio-One Kenya alliance ratification further asking Moi to leave OKA.
"KANU is firmly in OKA and we are united as a coalition. Our position is that our talks with Azimio and any other parties must be structured, open and honest," Moi said.
He added that they are in talks to finalize their move to Azimio as an alliance and not as individual party"Therefore, KANU has not changed it's position whatsoever as reported by a section of the media."
Moi hinted that talks are still ongoing "until an amicable position has been attained in the on-going talks."
It's not clear whether , the OKA team will have officiateed their move and be part of Azimio planned National Delegates Convention (NDC) on Saturday where Raila is expected to be named the coalition's flag bearer as parties forming the alliance sign an agreement to work together.
