Blogger Robert Alai quits Nyando MP race, to vie for Kileleshwa MCA seat

Controversial blogger Robert Alai has declared interest in Kileleshwa Ward Member of the County Assembly seat.He will be contesting on an ODM ticket. 

His announcement comes months after he launched his bid for the Nyando parliamentary seat, but has since withdrawn.

Alai attributed his change of heart to consultations with his constituents.

He will now be seeking to succeed incumbent Elias Otieno who has since shifted interest to Suna East parliamentary seat in Migori where he will seek to unseat Junet Mohammed.

Alai will face off with Ayisha Shollei of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) for the seat.
