All closed sections along the busy Mombasa road will be opened by October 15th Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA) has said.
KeNHA Acting Director David Muchilwa said the JKIA-Mlolongo section will be opened on September 10th this year.
The Westlands-James Gichuru section will be opened by the end of September with the Haile Selassie- UoN roundabout is expected to be opened on October 15.
"The authority is determined to fast track the ongoing works as we assure all road users that we will continually provide adequate diversion for smooth flow of traffic,” read part of the statement.
KeNHA added that it had dispatched a multi-agency team to control traffic and respond to cases of accidents on the road.
The multi-agency team will also facilitate the erection of proper signage on the road.
