Felix Jarongo Odeny, a 44-year-old teacher from Kanyadhiang’ village, Karachuonyo constituency in Homa Bay County has declared interest in the 2022 Presidential elections.
Odeny said that for a long time he has desired to clinch the presidential seat and is now ready to participate in the race, whereby he will vie as an independent candidate.
According to the presidential hopeful, having no affiliations to any political party gives him a better chance of getting the top job.
Odeny, who resigned from his teaching job in 2018 at St Augustine University in the neighbouring country Tanzania, is determined to explore his candidature accordingly.
So far, other presidential candidates are Deputy President William Ruto, Mukhisa Kituyi and former paramilitary officer and Kiambu Bishop Zablon Karanja Mbugua.
