Kenya has recorded 403 new Covid-19 infections after 5,577 samples were tested, pushing the cumulative positive cases to 175,176.
From the new cases, 399 of the new infections are Kenyans while 4 are foreigners and 215 are male while 188 are female.
The oldest case is 97 years old while the youngest is a one-year-old child.
According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of recoveries is now 120,031 as 442 patients had recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours.
From the new recoveries, 24 are from various health facilities across the country while 418 are from Home Based Care and Isolation Programme.
Unfortunately, 18 new deaths have been reported. One was recorded in the last 24 hours while 17 are late death reports discovered after facility record audits.
Therefore, cumulative fatalities now stand at 3,378.
Currently, a total of 957 patients are admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 4,796 patients are under Home Based Isolation and Care program.
From the 163 patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 30 are on ventilatory support, 113 on supplemental oxygen and 20 patients are under observation.
Another 105 patients are separately on supplemental oxygen, with 100 of them in general wards and 5 in High Dependency Unit (HDU).
