The Judicial Service Commission( JSC) will on Monday begin the process of replacing retired Supreme Court Judge, Justice Jackton Ojwang.

In a revised schedule released on Sunday by the JSC, Justice Said Juma and Justice Marete Njagi will face the panel on Monday

Justice Nduma Nderi and Dr Patrick Lumumba will be up for the interview on Tuesday while Court of Appeal Judge Justice William Ouko, Justice Joseph Sergon and Lawyer Alice Yano will face the panel on Wednesday.

Initially, nine candidates had expressed intention of replacing Justice Ojwang' but nomination of Lady Justice Martha Koome for the position of the Chief Justice of the Republic of Kenya and the swearing-in of Justice Kathurima M'Inoti as a Judge of the East African Court reduced the number of candidates to seven.

On Tuesday, the Court of Appeal allowed the JSC to proceed with the selection of the Supreme Court Judge

In his ruling the appellate court Judge, Justice Patrick Kiage overturned the High Court ruling that sort to halt the interview process and scoring of the nominee for JSC.

Majority of the candidates appearing for the interview tomorrow had both applied for the Chief Justice and Supreme Court Judge post except Justice Joseph Sergon and Dr Patrick Lumumba.
