India on Monday recorded over 300,000 new coronavirus infections for a 12 straight day taking the county's total caseload just shy of 20 million while deaths related to the virus rose by 3,417.
With 368,147 new infections over the last 24 hours, India's caseload currently stands at 19.93 million while the death toll stands at 218,959, according to the health ministry's data.
At least 11 states and Union territories have imposed movement restrictions amid reports of hospitals being filled and medical oxygen supplies have run short.
