President Uhuru Kenyatta has revoked the appointment of the entire Kenya Medical supplies Authority ( KEMSA) board and appointed Mary Chao Mwadime as the new head of the board for a three-year term.
In a gazette notice dated April 28th, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said the changes will take effect from April 30th.
Also appointed to the board as directors include Capt (Rtd) Lawrence Wahome, Robert Nyarango and Terry Kiunge Ramadhani.
The new appointments come amid investigations into the operations of the authority following claims of corruption and misappropriation of COVID-19 funds.
