Magoha:Schools will re-open on May 10 as planned

The Education Cabinet Secretary, Professor George Magoha has affirmed that schools will reopen on May 10 as planned.

The country’s high COVID-19 infection rate made most people assume that there would be unprecedented delays in school reopening.

The CS said that current data shows a decline in COVID-19 infections across the country.

Speaking in Kiambu County on Monday while supervising the opening of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams container,

“I’m hoping since it looks like the pandemic is going to flatten, there is no need for me to summon stakeholders as the timetable is likely to remain the same for the rest of the year,” Magoha said on Monday while he was in Kiambu County supervising the opening of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams container.

Meanwhile, to allow for timely form one selection,
the release of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education – KCPE – results will be within the next two weeks.
