President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga alongside other dignitaries are expected to grace the first death anniversary of the late President Moi to be held at Kabarak.
Daniel Moi, who was the longest-serving president of Kenya, died on February 4, 2020 aged 95.
There was a period of National mourning after his death as per President Uhuru's announcement at the time.
Uhuru ordered that the Kenyan flag be flown half-mast as an expression of sorrow. He eulogised Moi as a fallen hero and one of the greatest in Africa who contributed to the betterment of Kenya and the continent.
The late Moi became the president of Kenya in 1978 following the sudden death of the country's first president, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta.
He served as a teacher, a legislator, Cabinet Minister, Vice President, and was eventually Kenya's president.
He stepped down in 2002 as the constitution barred him from running for another term in office.
