President Biden says US will rebuild African partnerships

United States President Joe Biden has said that the country is looking into reengaging partnerships in its efforts toward rebuilding partnerships around the world. 

“My administration is committed to rebuilding partnerships around the world and reengaging with international institutions like the African Union. We must all work together to advance our shared vision of a better future,” Biden stated.

He also said that the US will invest in global health to combat current health crises and prevent potential ones. 

“To reach this future, we also must confront the serious challenges we face. This includes investing more in global health, defeating Covid-19 and working to prevent, detect a d respond to future health crisis,” he added. 

The US President stated that the promotion of growing trade and investment that advances prosperity for all nations are critical for the every citizen's life improvement and security. 

He said, “We need to build a future committed to investing in our democratic institutions and promoting the human rights of all people.  Women and girls, LGBTQ individuals, people with disabilities and people of every ethnic background, religion and heritage.” 

Biden also emphasized the need for climate change mitigation in all nations, citing that developing nations need support in this context. 

Aeto him, sustainable diplomacy will address conflicts costing lives across the African continent.

Biden acknowledged, “None of this is going to be easy, but US stands ready to be your partner in solidarity, support and mutual respect." 

"We believe in the nations of Africa and the continent-wide spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation. Through the challenges ahead, although they are great, there is no doubt that our nations, our people and the African Union are up to this task," the US President added.
