In the last 24 hours, Kenya recorded 226 Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 4,606, bringing the total positive cases to 103,841.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe made a statement on Friday, February 19, disclosing that so far, the total tests conducted are 1,258,624.
From the new positive cases, 165 are Kenyans while 61 are foreigners. 132 are male while 94 are female.
The oldest case is a 98 year old while the youngest is a two-year old.
From the 75 patients that recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, 49 are from the Home Based Isolation and Care while 26 are from various health facilities. This brings the total recoveries to 85,512.
Unfortunately, 6 patients have succumbed to the disease pushing the country's cumulative fatality to 1,813 .
333 patients currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide while 1,150 patients are on Home Based Isolation and Care.
From the 49 patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 21 are on ventilator support and 23 are on supplemental oxygen. 5 patients are on observation.
Another 9 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen with 8 of them in the general wards. 1 patient is in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
