Shakhtar shock Madrid as Lokomotiv register first win

Real Madrid's hopes of reaching the Champions League last 16 for a 24th consecutive season hang in the balance after Zinedine Zidane's side were beaten again by Shakhtar Donetsk.

Two second half goals from Dentinho and Manor Solomon helped Shakhtar Donetsk beat the spanish giants 2-0 in a reverse fixture which Real won 3-2 in Spain.

Varane,  poked the ball straight to Dentinho in the box instead of clearing the misplaced pass into the box giving away Shakhtar's first goal of the night.

A brilliant finish from the sub, who cut inside his marker on the edge of the box and then fired a low shot into the corner doubled the lead dimming Real Madrid's hopes of an early qualification to the round of 16.

Shakhtar are second on level points with Madrid who dropped to third place after their 2-0 loss.

Borussia Monchengladbach can qualify as group winners with victory over winless Inter Milan later
