Kenya confirms 112 more COVID-19 cases

 Kenya has recorded 112 more cases of coronavirus, in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health, the new cases were picked from a sample size of 3,327.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in the country now stands at 96,251.

Health CS Mutahi Kagwe added that from the new cases, 98 are Kenyans while 14 are foreigners. 43 are females while 69 are males; the oldest is 84 years old while the youngest is a three-year-old child. 

The number of recoveries is 78,475 as 816 people have recovered from the virus. 

798 are from the Home-Based Care program while 18 have been discharged from various hospitals across the country.


Two patients, unfortunately, succumbed to the disease bringing to 1667 the total number of  fatalities
