A mother and her child missed death by a whisker after their Toyota Vitz car plunged into the Indian Ocean at the Kibarani area in Mombasa County.
The vehicle was coming from Changamwe, headed to Mombasa Central Business District.
Efforts to retrieve the car from the ocean were ongoing, by the time of going to the press.The incident caused a heavy traffic jam in the area.
