An inferno that occurred in Nairobi's Githurai 45, along the busy Thika Superhighway burned down several businesses in the area.
The incident that happened on Friday, November 27, began in the afternoon and spread premises that were adjacent to each other.
Residents attempted to put out the fire and salvage some goods in the furniture shops.
The dark smoke emanating the fire caused heavy traffic as motorists looked for alternative routes to avoid the traffic.
It is unclear what caused the fire and no casualties have been reported.
