The bodies of two children who were reported missing a week ago were on Sunday found floating on River Sagana.
One of the bodies was sighted on the river on Sunday morning while the second one was found in the same river last evening.
Villagers reported the matter to the Kiamachimbi police station on Sunday morning whereupon, the first body of a 6-year-old boy was retrieved, and taken to a funeral home within Karatina.
The same day, police officers received another report that another body had been sighted at the same location.
It turned out to be the body of a 4-year-old who had also been reported missing.
Mathira West Deputy District Commissioner Jacob Ouma confirmed the incident, saying investigations was underway to ascertain whether the deaths of the minors were accidental.
