Varsity graduates can now breath a sigh of relief after the just launched Building Bridges Initiative report proposed a four year grace period for graduates servicing their Helb loans.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition chief Raila Odinga received the report at Kisii State Lodge on Wednesday , October 21.
According to the BBI report; Unemployed youths will now not pay any interest as it was earlier stated however the interest will start accumulating when one secures a job opportunity.
Previously graduates were only given a grace period of one year and a monthly penalty was immediately initiated after the expiry of the grace period.
