Chaotic scenes as police and matatu operators clash in Nakuru

Business was on Monday  disrupted in Nakuru town after Matatu  operators clashed with the police.

The matatu operators who were  protesting their eviction from Central Business District engaged the police in running battles  forcing other business owners to shut down

In videos shared on social media platforms show protesters screaming at the police vowing to block any attempt to kick them out of the CBD.

The police officers lobbed teargas at protesters who in turn threw stones. One police Landcruiser's windscreen was broken during the clash .
