Deputy President William Ruto landed at the Susan Owiyo Arts Centre in Kisumu on Tuesday to kickstart his three-day tour in the Nyanza region.
Before meeting his supporters in the lakeside city, Ruto hosted his allies from Nyanza and he received the region’s economic blueprint from grassroots groups.
As per the tour itinerary, after holding a series of political rallies in Kisumu county, the DP will proceed to to Homa Bay and Migori counties.
On Wednesday, he will tour the famous Kondele then head to Kisumu West constituency at Nyahera to meet small-scale traders and make donations. The tour will end at the Nyalunya Primary School in Kisumu East where he is also expected to give a donation.
On Thursday, will proceed to Homa Bay County to market his bottom-up development plan as a solution to the current economic problems in the country and promote youth and women empowerment.
He will then head to Migori county where he will be received by Governor Okoth Obado and the two leaders will preside over several Harambee after addressing a number of rallies in the county.
Governor Obado, the Peoples Democratic Party leader, has shown his support for DP Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.
