Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga is the most preferred presidential candidate, this is according to a Tifa poll released on Monday, July 11.
According to the survey conducted between 25th and 30th June 2022 showed that if elections were to be held today, Mr Odinga would be elected with 42% of votes.
United Democratic Alliance Candidate Deputy President William Ruto would come in second with 39% of the votes.
Root party’s Prof George Wajackoyah would came in third with 4% of the votes.
The survey further found that at least 10% of Kenyans are still undecided over their choice of president, while 5% declined to respond.
The survey additional indicated that 80% of Mr Odinga's supporters are satisfied with Martha Karua as his choice of running mate.
On the other hand, 62% of William Ruto’s supporters are satisfied with Rigathi Gachagua as his choice of running mate.
Raila's popularity reigns in the coast, lower eastern, Nairobi, Nyanza, and Western Region while Ruto is the most preferred candidate in the Central Rift, Mt Kenya, and Nothern Eastern regions.
